Be HONEST, how bad is the cash shop?
Is it as bad as other Nexon titles, or worse?

Does it cost more for a virtual shirt than it does for a real one? Does it cost upwards of $30 or $40 for an outfit that doesn't give boosts? Does it also have in-game boosts that cost a recurring $20+ a month? Are there EXP boosts that cost $5 or more a pop for a half hour boost?

Just be honest with me. Don't defend their business practices or complain about it, don't say "well sure but I get by fine without paying," I just want to know the numbers and facts.

The only items in the cash shop are permanent cosmetic items (price varies depending on the item but at the moment nothing is more than $6), character related items (e.g. name/gender change) and other things such as auto fish/music vouchers, guild summon scrolls, etc. There's also the premium club which costs $5 a month and consists of various convenience features. Not all cash shop items are implemented yet, and Nexon has announced that they'll be adding style crates (RNG cosmetics) to the game on launch. You can find more info about that on the official website.

I'd also like to note that Nexon has made a majority of housing content free, which includes multiple items that previously cost irl money.

I haven't played any of Nexon's other games so I couldn't really compare if I wanted to.

It's heavy on cosmetics and emotes, although they're in my opinion fairly priced, ranging from 2 to 6 dollars.

There's mounts up to 3* in quality (for now I'm assuming) for about 10 to 15 dollars, and similar mounts can be earned in game with pretty minimal effort.

Emotes range from 1 buck to 3, with almost all of them being 1 to 1.5 dollars.

Lifestyle instruments are all 5 dollars which I feel is pretty expensive, but I haven't messed with the music system at all yet.

Other items like the Gender Change and Name Change are pretty competitive with other games.

You can respec stats and skills for free at almost any time.

Housing items range from about 5 cents to 30 cents, and you can set a budget when you're building too to make sure you don't accidentally spend more than you intended.

Changing face/hair is I believe in the area of 5 bucks which I feel is a bit much.

Expanding an inventory is 3.90 for 6 additional slots which I think is overpriced for how little you get, but so far inventory hasn't been even remotely an issue.

I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff, but that's all off the top of my head. I typically stay away from F2P games because I find the cash shops to be pretty offensive in general, but I'm not bothered by Maplestory 2's in the slightest. That might change in the future, but for now it seems pretty innocuous.
right now its only cosmetic items you can buy on the shop
they cost "merets" wich you can buy for real money also the cosmetic shop is mostly community made
to be exact 500 merets cost 5,000 NX wich is 5.00 USD
i bought a community made hoodie with a dragon ball z charecter on it for 300 merets so i guess cosmetic items are a little too expensive but if its going free to play i guess its fine

Cash shop is pretty standard, a lot of skins and nothing terribly P2W yet, boosters and Premium membership with Gamble Boxes comming at launch. None of these have stats or anything.

IT should be noted that you can create your own clothes in this game and the main questline gives you a few coupons to do it without spending money.

Everything in the shop is cosmetic no p2w they removed it in global mp2 not like kr. ~ from 1,5€ - 3,1€ one cloth part i dont think thats kinda much expensive since u support the devs with it.

IF you look at nexon's track record with cash shop items. It will become P2W. Thats just the way nexon operates. Thats why all their mmo's die.

to be short, all stuff you can buy are "NOT NEEDED" to enjoy the game. Sure they are some stuff which makes it kinda easier but its NOT like you "need" them to enjoy xyz in the game, basicly all you buy in the shop has no pay to win valiue since all you "need" do you also get in some way or you have to play them for free anyways - like better fishing poles or actual weapons WITH stats (since the store only sells cosmetics with no bonuses at all).

You have to pay to chat in the global and channel parts of the text chat. Per message. Why is this even a thing?

i think its also a thing against massive spam. why else should you post worldwide or on the full channel? to talk all you need is your own channel or area wide.

Oh don't take it in anyother way than curiosity, I am wanting to play the game on 10th for sure. But not used to the restrictions coming from other mmo's that is all.

How does one even converse then in MS2 locally when others are around you, please tell me its not via money for one chat line. How is it achieved.

Local chat isn't blocked and there are popular areas where people tend to congregate, you are only blocked from annoying people who are currently grinding or in instanced dungeons with your public erotic roleplay.
