For those of you looking for SWAT 4!

For all those wondering, you can buy SWAT 4 - Gold Edition for $10 on GoG and it runs flawlessly! I had to delete an .ini file to fix a crash i was getting, but it literally took like 30 seconds.

If you decide to pick it up, i would highly recommend the Elite Force mod. It basically overhauls the entire game (AI, Custom Map Support, 40 new pieces of equipment, functional iron-sights/optics, etc.) and has a custom server browser patch so you can play online.

The main developer had to slow down work on the mod because he now works 12-hour days at Void interactive on the SWAT successor "Ready or Not". That being said the mod still gets updated fairly regularly (most recent Beta patch was September 28, 2019)

The game also has a fairly active community on discord. You can join the discord to find people to play with thru a party finder built into the discord, ask about the progress on the mod, or get access to the Beta patches for the newest version of the mod (<-highly recommend)

My grandfather let me play SWAT 3 on paintball mode at a very young age. Fast-forward to now, im 23 and thanks to him, im a full blown tactical-shooter gamer, rediscovered SWAT 4, and ever since i kinda developed a nostalgia fueled passion for it.

Needless to say the game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥' awesome and old fans as well as potential new ones NEED to play it!
