1. Why is this game considered better than swat 4? To me it looks like its a complete downgrade other than movement and AI reaction times. I heard the customization is better but if I wanted to customize my approach to a mission Id go all out and play raven shield. I dont mean that in a hostile way or anything I just wanna know

2. Is the GOG version better? I just picked up swat 4 on gog after having the "borrowed" version on my drive for years. The GoG version improved a lot based on the version I had, is it the same for this?

1. My biggest beef with Swat 4 was the magical door hinges. Swat 3 forces you to decide the best spot to stack up on because the doors only work one direction like the real world.

2. Swat 3 on GOG and Steam are the same.

SWAT 3 Team AI does slice the pie before going to clear the area, as you can see in the first 10 sec in this video.

SWAT 4 Team AI just going in and pray.

Basically, Swat 3 ai behaves more realistic and more efficient than Swat 4 AI, they don't get themself killed for no reason so often like Swat 4.

Not that Swat 4 AI is bad, it actually pretty good. Swat 3 is just superior. but Swat 3 also have some weak spot like they didn't cover your six and turn their back when stack up in front of the door. but overall they are more dependable than in Swat 4.
