Great ai!
I think its hillarious how Swat 3 from 1999 got smarter ai's then any games today ;D Not to mention the almost perfect pathfinding of the Swat 3's ai's. Another "tactical" game that i play is called Arma 3 and the ai in that game is beyond retarded. Why aren't video game makers today able to create ai's with a similar level of inteligence?

I agree it does have pretty good AI.

You can thank John D Anderson[www.mobygames.com] for the great AI.

Yeah, it surpasses SWAT 4's artifical intelligence, which is pretty lame.

Even funnier is that if you try to mention this on any discussion forums you get attacked by an army of fanboys. LIke i wrote in the Arma 3 discussions page about what the ai was lacking and such, Over a dozen different fanboys started attacking my post and even my steam channel.
At least i learned that it pointless to try to have any form of discussion regarding newer "games"

when you need a mod to make the ai better in SWAT 4. Tbh SWAT 4 is dumbed down version for me. SWAT 3 is the best in my opinion.

Could have made it so that the AI gets out of your way though. It's not ok when the AI blocks a room, I have to shoot and go into dynamic, ultimately ending any stealth once had.

Agree 100% Swat 3 is the better game! Sadly no games today have such ai's...
