Game is too hard and there is no save function
I don't have time to play the same level (most are in multiple stages) over and over again. It's boring and frustrating. However, the story is interesting. Is there a way to make the game easier?

It had a easy difficulty setting.

It's a short game. I believe only a couple hours long. It is difficult, but once you learn how to properly control your character, it becomes much easier. Unfortunately, I only recall how it plays on N64, but make sure you are mixing in strafing with the tank controls. Also, don't hip fire. You can aim and even hit targets as far back as the fog of war. Strafe around corners, ready to fire or even just pre-fire. You can also turn in place to rotate your camera as a way of peaking around corners. Consider your POV as well. You may find it easier to play some levels in First person mode. You also won't have Dash blocking your view in first person.

As this is an N64 qame from 1996, it was still when there were no "easy"-mode in most games....you either master it through skill and just adapt, or you...quit.

Games have had difficulty levels as far back as I can remember(usually easy, medium, and hard). Not all of them, of course, but SotE was one.

It is a hard game compared to modern standards. "Hard" difficulty really is hard, not easy or normal like modern games' hard mode. So stick with Normal mode or drop to Easy if you're having trouble. Also use a program like RivaTuner to cap your FPS to 30fps. High FPS breaks the physics of the game, making platforming way more difficult than it should be.

As said before switch camera angles when necessary, aim (default on KBM should be V), play on easy first, and learn where all the challenge points are to even try to attempt harder difficulties. Most important is to conserve special weapons for bosses, only use maybe like seekers on rare occasions against infantry.
Do yall realize that the answer to 'I find this game difficult due to its out dated controls and systems' arent 'JUST GRIND AGAINST IT UNTIL YOU GET USED TO IT' right? You do realize that doesn't help anyone.
I played this as a kid. That was the time when you got only a handful of games and played those games multiple times until you won`t care anymore xD But ye by todays stanards this could be considered fruststrating at least.

- there are only one solution to not being scrub - git gud!

First of all this game does features difficulty setting ( altough you would not get epilog on easy mode ). Secondly Steam allows you to setup gamepad controls for almost any game ( and this is one of the games that can be played with gamepad via Steam ), so if you find this 1996 N64 game keyboard+mouse controls frustrating, just use a freaking controller.

Yeah, and stop ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, people in general do not like ♥♥♥♥♥♥ persons.

Game is very challenging but it was one of those games that we got near n64 launch and we had this, turok, or mario 64 and being huge starwars fans we played it over and over till we understood how the wonky super floaty platforming worked. Its odd how the skyhook the last level is very easy compared to most of the levels before it. First thing you should do to get through the 3d platforming is to know nothing handles like you'd expect. Its not one of those games with exceptional platforming you can overshoot easily. Also one of the longest areas where you hunt boba fett, have patience till you get the jet pack it gets way easier then. Boba isn't easy but you can beat him with the right ammo as ammo can hit anything hard. Seekers are your best friend even if they don't seek they hit very hard so if you are point blank with an enemy like boba those seekers can cause some damage. Same applies with IG. With ATST's try to get behind them and you will cause major damage. In the second atst fight before boba its very easy cause you have the jetpack you can boost right up behind it and unleash seekers and shred its health in no time.

One of the trickiest bosses in the game is the last boss which is some kinda robot that can break off in two. By then you should have a lot of different ammos so try and use all of them. Never stand in a line of fire always try to flank or get behind a strong opponent. And never take gun turrets lightly if you have to use seekers or other ammo to save health against gun turrets do so. Regular enemies and troops you can just use lasers most of the time. Wompas try and avoid or run from them unless you have plenty of time to unload lasers. They are a waste of resources and if you can actually get them in the line of fire of troopers and other enemies they will fight them for you so its always a good idea to avoid them rather than fight unless they are in your way.

Always try and destroy boxes they hide precious items.

The space missions are pretty self explanatory there's really no advice I can give on those, they are just shoot em ups that test your skill. Also when you get the jetpack try and practice with boosting a bit till you understand the mechanics the jetpack cheeses the game and makes it 100 times easier but it can also mess you up if you don't understand how it properly functions.

Goodluck this is one of my fav starwars games ever made and it deserves a remaster, or at least something better than what they put out on steam. Also yes the game is very wonky, yes the game suffers from age, yes the platforming is very weird. But believe it or not at the time it was the single greatest starwars game ever made and wouldn't get its match until rogue squadron was released. We were honestly amazed by it back on n64. It was a huge seller and a players choice. And it is a very hard game so don't feel bad if you're struggling, its one of those games you have to know and play a bit before you can understand how its suppose to go. So if you fail, or gameover take a break and try again this was kinda how the old games were.

Ya this was before games held your hand and had a skip button. Actually takes skill and timing to beat.
