Bug in character movement / characters stuck

Hi all,

Recently bought the game and I have noticed that my characters get stuck in their movement all the time. Even in large and open area's, certain parts of the land (if not all) are inaccessible quite often and the mouse pointer is shown as a red circle with a red line through it (the typical "you can not go there" sign). Thusfar, this prevented me from getting to someone that I need to talk to.

Sometimes, the problem randomly disappears for a couple seconds before my characters are randomly stuck once more.

Anyone knows of this problem and perhaps a way to fix it? I am not using any mods or whatever, just the vanilla game :)

Just ran into this one myself and it is absolutely game breaking.. Question though, do you happen to have a ranger in your party? My issue started as soon as I recruited a Ranger with a bear companion. I'm thinking the bear is somehow breaking pathing, and it doesn't even need to be near the character that breaks to do so.

I have another save that doesn't have a ranger in it, and this bug has not occured once to her, hence my thinking it is Ranger specific. Most likely her companion..

I had a ranger with a bear yes indeed. But I just verified the integrity of the game cache files and that fixed it for me :)

I had this problem on the Foothills map by Tikawara. I couldn't order my people to walk on the ground and in some cases they were walking through terrain like gorges.

Years later and it's still here. Seems to be character related. I have saves from 7 or 8 characters, from all parts of the game, never had it. Created a Cypher today and at the boat (first combat) he seemed to walk in a diferent plane than the boat surface. After that, sometimes both him and Xoti seems to not acknowledge where the ground actually is, quite infuriating.
