Quest - Sealed Fate - Degnos Satchel

In the quest Sealed Fate I retrieved Degnos' Satchel, killed the group that stops you on your way back to the quest giver, and saved before initiating dialog with him. The problem is there is no open button when you right click on the satchel, so I lost the ability to act on it's contents.

I'll try restarting the game and if that doesn't work I'll reload before I accepted the quest and try opening the satchel immediately. Will update if either of those work.

*edit* I loaded to when I first picked up the satchel and I could open it. But I still couldn't open it after killing his cohorts. It was then I realized that the dialog with Degnos and his captain would allow me to confront him without having seen the evidence. It's kinda awkward as my character never learned what was going on so I'm not sure how they could confront them. If it's implied that they looked inside the satchel automatically after the attack it doesn't seem that the journal updates to indicate that.

*edit2* Ok, I restarted the quest from scratch and it seems opening the satchel doesn't really alter the outcome. Well the dialog options change slightly but in the end it feels like this quest could have been simplified. As opening the satchel or not just amounted to some flavor text.
