"The Man of Chimes" bug

I chose to attack the abductors and managed to save Giacolo. After the fight Pallegina got mad at me for attacking even though Giacolo was still alive. Since it worked out I chose to shrug as an answer. Pallegina then left my group, Giacolo just diasppeared and the quest was marked as failed.
I'm not sure whether this is relevant but in case it is I want to mention that I played in turn based mode.
