Moon godlike fury druid/ ranger sharpshooter dual class seems pretty cheesy. I filled my party up with them at the first bar. I'd say bears for their pals, but something's screwy with their pathing AI/bump boxes, and you get stuck on transitions and have to micromanage the movement a lot. Not sure if that's just the game or bears being jank. Bears are tanky though.
AOE damage to the group is pretty mitigated- if more than one person gets popped, the party heals up a decent amount and can keep churning out damage.
Pretty solid CC, damage output, and ZOC with the bears, even if they never do attacks of opportunity or engage enemies properly.
I hear paladins have great party buffs, i have a mage that just giggles with AOE and control spells, A rogue archer assassin to handle the chests/locks and to pump ranged attacks into stuff, a shield tank to draw the fire, some melee hitters, etc. Once you start getting levels under your belt you won't have much trouble except for a few battles where it's more of mechanics causing you problems than your characters.
PoE 2: Human Helwalker Monk
Many people will tell you godlike, I dislike not wearing the cool helmets I find along the way.
Id say personally for me, the most OP class is Human Monk, Helwalker on the second one.
The most fun one and also very powerful is Human Evoker Mage (Obliterate enemies in area).
If youre a stabby stealthy guy its rogue all the way, paired with any caster you want if you dont like being pure rogue on the second game.
Remember to have at least one party member with mechanics skill (used for lockpicking and disarming traps). You'll need PER for traps but I usually dump PER on other toons since I use the main for damage (MIGHT, DEX, INT FOR MAGES FOR AOE, PER FOR ROGUES FOR ACC).
I honestly wish I could play PoE1 with the POE2 class mechanics, because every class feels far more interesting and powerful.
Race is personal preference, I'm always biased to play Nature God-like with Power level stacking. (Unless its a gun build, that gunslinger hat is OP)
I mean it makes the game way harder, which is fine for me. it should be hard, not easy to go through.
I would say monk is one of the best classes in the game. pure monk or with fighter or barbarian or rogue mixed.
I tested druid lately, I also like it. has some nice spells.
Many people said in guides that mage is the best class in game, I think that could be true.
But really hard to get that working. cause you need many spells to make mage shine with variety. also he needs high level to make his spells high power levels to get enough accuracy to hit, and then also to apply the spell fully cause of duration. only then you will hit with all your aoe and stuff.
so mage should be the best lategame class with monk.
but I think many classes are good.
How is it you have all this information and experience with the game when in your own words it's unplayable piece of garbage?
I choose a Priest over a Paladin anytime. Tanking is so boring and useless in this game. It's all about buffs, crowd control and accuracy.
