Best Soulblade multiclass?
I am about to jump into this game for my first playthrough after finishing the first game. I plan on playing on Veteran difficulty.

I 100% want to play a Soulblade Cipher but can't decide on which multiclass I want to pair him with.

I am mainly leaning towards Rogue (maybe Trickster?) or Bleak Walker Paladin.

He will mostly be played as a Melee character alongside Eder in the front line.

You´re quite on spot, generally it depends on your Playstyle. Personally I think Psyblade (Devoted/Soulblade) is the best allround choice, esp. as Watcher and with 2H Greatsword, but I might be biased :ImloveRanger:
As you´re new, I suggest to read this Guide (for inspiration you can check ->Builds)

Yeah you can't go wrong with a rogue. The sneak attack damage stacking with the soul blade ability will net you regularly 100-150+ damage hits.

IMO the street fighter rogue will net you the most amount of damage as a front liner. You're likely gonna be flanked regularly if you're on the front line, so use that to stack more damage and Crit damage.
Max out perception and you have a killing machine.

Rogue is probably the best choice. Monk, barb, fighter, and paladin right below that.

It's worth noting that Soul Annihilation only hits with your primary weapon, not a Full Attack, so using a big two-hander is best. That might be a departure from the usual vibe of rogues in most RPGs but in PoE it's really effective.

I seem to recall that there was some way to have the Soul Annihilator ability become AoE or Ranged or something.
Maybe it was the Mob Stance of the Fighter or the Monk's The Long Pain.

Or maybe it was a specific weapon(some of them have cleave attacks).

Maybe when you merge the endless paths blade with the watcher blade, it makes a weapon with a cone aoe around your attack, so I would imagine that it would work with the soul blade ability too
