Lantern of Gaun (Xoti quest) bugged!?

This has happened numerous times to me. Throughout her quest I repeatedly encourage her to follow the light, not to dwell on the wierd emo crap. I follow the guides for her "good" story/ending and somehow it gives me the opposite.

She decides to absorb the souls and consequently becomes even more morbid and insane. Ive followed the companion guide perfectly, and also chose ALL the same responses I did in my first playthrough where the quest resolved appropriately.

What is the deal with this? Does anyone know of a way to bypass this glitch, or know how this happens?

She probably is sympathetically absorbing psychic discordance from the wheel as it reverberates the bad karma from all your metagaming and she wishes you would just have fun. Her soul cannot dissipate it all though....you're killing her spirit. Fiend.
