Whats up with Marux Amanth? Bugged?

Does anyone know what the current status on Marux Amanth is? I recently picked it up in my current playthrough and haven't been able to rack up the burn the damage for the upgrade, by which I mean the number doesn't change at all. Just kinda stuck at zero. I've confirmed that no source of fire damage (including the dagger itself) inflicted on enemies or party members counts towards the requirement. Am I missing something? Is this just a bug?

I'm kinda having the same problem used cider like suggested in some guides and traps but it stuck at 0.

It started working for me. Went into a fight and spammed fan of flames scrolls with Xoti (who has said dagger) and got the upgrade after the fight. I doubt it was what fixed it, but I had recently added a mod to reduce the upgrade the requirements for soulbound weapons from nexus. Not sure how I missed that.

Ok I put the dagger in my main hand and it started to proc its passive skill. Now it levels up.
