Rymrgand Curse: How to Remove -2 Might, -2 Resolve Curse from Rymrgand
So, based upon my choice to put the souls back in the cycle in PoE 1, serving Berath instead of Rymrgand, I completed the side-quest in Neketaka for the Vailian Trading Company where I tested their Adra teleportation device. So, at the end of that mission I received Rymrgand's curse, he forced my main character to take a constant stat debuff of -2 Might and -2 Resolve. This is very annoying and I've tried resting, eating healing foods, traveling by sea, and finishing other quests, applying potions and spells of purification to my character, and many other things to try and remove this curse, and I can't figure out a way to remove the debuff.

Does anyone know how I can remove this annoying debuff curse from Rymrgand? Any help whatsoever would be appreciated, but I'd prefer not to have to cheat unless it's the only way to remove the curse. Thanks!

Besides those 2 wael curses you if you pi$$ him off too. iirc he takes all your scrolls and stuff.
-2 MIG -2 RES isn't shocking anyway.
djinnxy, thanks so much, I was searching for a help article for quite some time and couldn't find one. :)
So, the article linked by djinnxy says that Rymrgand's curse "Burden of Memory", which does -2 Might, -2 Resolve, does go away on its own, without the player doing anything. The status effect of the curse is basd on some kind of timer. I tried digging through the game's code to find it, but wasn't able to find any data I could modify and release on Nexus as a mod to nerf this curse. For anyone else stumbling into this thread, you just have to wait out this curse and bear it. If anyone finds where in the game files this curse is defined, post here and I'll see if I can make a mod to nerf the curse. Thanks for your help so far guys! :)

I just got this. I guess I can't complain about it since so many rpg fans have been clamoring for actual choice and subsiquent consiquences. But I do think that 1: I should have been alerted to the fact the God had cursed me, because some people would prefer to avoid that quest till later rather then take a hit to main attributes on their MC. 2: If the player decided to go along with it as I might have done, it would be nice to have at LEAST given a timer, or made some sort of note that it IS in FACT temporary. So I didn't have to go searching through forum posts. 3: As much as I like this game and the Devs, I REALLY wish they would note this kind of thing somewhere official for the people that might spend an hour going through their previous saves looking to see when this happened and why. This isn't Dark Souls, so I don't really like coming on line to look up things that might show me spoilers :(

But I will say that I'm 20+ hours into the game and this is my only (minor) gripe so far, which is quite something :)
So, I was able to find the game's code that controls the timer of Rymrgand's Curse. I'm going to post a mod to the Pillars of Eternity II Nexus in a few days. My mod makes it so that resting your main character and/or party for one night removes the curse. Stay tuned for the link! :)
