Faith and Conviction level and disposition bonus?
There is no in game modifier display for the FoC bonus in detail. Does anybody know how this works? My character is level 7 and has total 5 positive and 0 negative dispositions and I get 9.8 defenses.
Please clarify this and share the information since i could not find any info about.
Edit: No deep faith

Afaik it is like this and hasn't changed much in 2. I haven't tested the numbers other than maxing out the needed dispostion for the bonus. The 2 dispostions that give the bonus are blueish green. The negative ones are red. If you play as paladin/priest you may have up to 4 blueish green and 4 red.

Also if you hover over the defenses in the character screen it tells you the total. Here's a screenshot of my last playthrough. It shows the colored dispositions and the deflection is hovered over.

Ok, let me clarify my situation. My character belongs to st. elcga. Therefore the dispositions needed are honest and diplomatic. I have two quarters blue in diplomacy and three quarters blue in honest. The question is that do full circle blue make one blueish green quarter? And at least one quarter blueish green boosts FoC not the blue circles? If so how much defence is increased by one blueish quarter? Thank you for your reply :)

Sorry i think i took the blueish greens for something irrelevant. Therefore my topic question yet remains to be resolved

I know that deep faith doubles the score (you need deep faith, that's the first passive you should pick, it's just too good of a boost). Then it's about 0.1 or 0.2 per point (a point is one lit quarter, so a full circle is 4 points, and you can have 8 points total, points in the red substract to that by -1).

I have 5 lit quarters in total. Im sure there is a level bonus too. At level seven i get 9.8 defenses. Someone must know the formula come on!

I made a couple paladins to test Faith and Conviction and Deep Faith and had a couple saves prior.

Faith and Conviction base is +8.9 bonus.

Deep Faith adds 3.4 for a total of 12.3 bonus.

Each point with deep faith is .45. A max of 6 points disposition count. At +6 disposition that comes to 2.7. Add that to 12.3 for a max possible 15.

According to what you have: +5 disposition. ( you must have +4 and +1? ) The real number is +4.
The bonus per point with just F&C is half so .225. So 4 x .225 = .9. .9 + 8.9 base = 9.8.

Does that sound about right?

Well i have 3 and 2 corresponding positive disposition. That should make up to 5. Why real number 4? Are you sure there is no level up bonus? Thanks for the research i appreciate...

I dont have negative disposition, red ones

In PoE1 the max disposition from each was 3. The last point in each did not count. If you would have had 4 and 1 only 3 and 1 counted.

In that case you get less per point. It is only .18 per point with just F&C. (.18 x 5) + 8.9 = 9.8

.18 x 6 = 1.08. Rounded up to the nearest 10th it's 1.1. 1.1 + 8.9 = 10 max disposition bonus with just F&C.

Companions, sidekicks, and hirelings are figured differently. They are based on level. I haven't fully researched that one yet. I'm sure I can load up a few with Pellagina and figure it out though if it matters.

I think i got it. So confusing and meaningless mechanic imo. Not saying not handy to compare with deep faith one. In poe 1 it had much more greater impact far as i remember. Thank you

I also remember in poe 1 getting solid +2 bonus to all stats with deep faith (maybe 1 to def?). In deadfire seems complicated enough to player to figure out
