It's not as big a deal if you're playing a more offensive paladin, I suppose. Is this more because you like it roleplay-wise or because you wanted the Bleak Walker's starting abilities?
So it won't effect my character's inherent or rather base stats?
I swear im googling more than playing hahahaha.
But will have no ill effects on my character's stats if I don't follow it? I just wont get a bonus?
Yeah, there's no way to negate the penalty in Deadfire, but Faith and Conviction and Deep Faith are both better (+8 across the board for F&C, +10 for Deep Faith instead of +2/+3). So you've got even less to worry about. Never mind me.
What will happen now if im diplomatic and never cruel and aggressive?
Bonus:
Gain Flames of Devotion. Flames of Devotion deals additional +12% Corrode damage (Black Flames) and applies the Sickened Affliction to targets, reducing their Constitution by -5 and incoming healing by -25%.
Penalty: --
Favored Dispositions: Aggressive & Cruel
Disfavored Dispositions: Benevolent & Diplomatic
The penalty is you just don't get those extra points of defense, it sounds like. Does that make sense?
Nope, the base bonus of faith and conviction is the floor. If you have condemned dispositions, it just won't be increased. I believe the increase only amounts to about 2 points in your defenses on top of the defenses it gives at base if you had full favoured reputation.
It was supposedly different in the first game. I heard that if you had enough negative, your faith and conviction aided the enemy instead. Not sure if that's true as I've never done a paladin against his dispositions.
