How to reduce the reputation of the pirate fraction?

I now have the maximum pirate reputation, all 5 points. I want to make it -3, but even after interrupting all the leaders, it does not decrease to a minus. Throughout the game I tried to dig up good armor for rogue, I found only this one on Wiki, but you can get it only under these conditions. How can you get it? Do not complete pirate missions from the very beginning of the game and kill them all?

Even if you kill them all, it is impossible to get a low enough reputation if at least one quest of their faction is completed. The only possible option is either to use the console (the choice of weaklings), or download a mod for adding all four avenger ships (the name "A Bigger Fish"). Installed in the game folder "\ Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire \ PillarsOfEternityII_Data \ override" (you will have to create a folder). And after completing the tasks of the bounty hunters, the desired ship will appear, in our case, these are the tasks of Aenia's in Queen's Berth. An important point, if you only need one ship like me, open the mod file "faction_ships" using a regular notepad, and find there 4 groups of text, each is responsible for a separate ship. Delete 3 unnecessary ones and start the game, having the opportunity to get excellent armor for the rogue in an honest way. Yeah reputation doesn't go down in Poe 2. It works like fame/infamy does in fallout New Vegas. You can only increase fame or infamy and never decrease them. The fame and infamy cancel eachother out essentially.

Yes, you can. Your reputation just becomes mixed. You're known for doing good and doing bad to them

not having been a pirate I will have to take your word. i play a Paladin and if I did something bad my rep would go down but to each his own

No it didn't. There's 2 meters that fill up for every faction. One is infamy and the other is fame, one is orange and the other is green. Neither of them go down
