And I doubt you lack good gear that point either . What builds/setup are you using?
The DLC are harder than the Main game due to levels but I wouldnt call them broken, then again I played on Hard not the max diff.
No mission has skull anymore, yet enemies are either tough or they use some nasty heals (f.e. Messenger can heal himself faster than i damage him).
I propably suck in this game cuz all my attacks are inefficient and "No pen" is flying everywhere... but geez, i am using soulbound and legendary items, i cant be better.
Or maybe i build my characters wrong way cuz i cant really do any damage due to their fkin resistances to everything, spells, basic attacks... everything.
If you're not penetrating, you need to use different attacks or weapons. Look at their armours. Whichever has the lowest number for armour rating is what you want to hit them with. Also use weapons with more penetration if you can.
Fighting the Messenger... again, drain my team super fast. Spells are his weakness but my team uses all spells before hes down lol...
Ffs i was not playing Path of the Damned difficulty just to end up lowering it to fkin story mod for kids just for DLCs...
I wouldnt be to quick to critise the game when you cant even tell your character's class.....High difficulties require knowledge and good usage of the game mechanics
No offense but from the looks of it you were just beating content by outleveling it and now that its no longer that big of an advantage, you have hit a wall.
And FYI there are far harder fights in That DLC than the Messenger to say nothing of the other 2 DLC that are harder overall ( breath is by far the easier DLC ).
I am not trying to be rude here but without describing your builds / gear and just calling the expansion hard , doesnt leave a lot of room for help from our side.
About gear, again, not sure how to get anything better than legendary gear but somehow all i have available seems to have same penetration stats.
Oh and i saw people having troubles with Messenger with level 19 team so yea...
Sounds like to me you should've played on a lower difficulty first, then make a proper custom team for PoTD after you've used all the companions that you like.
Regular companions are pretty bad for trying out PoTD with when its your first few runs, also having "Legendary gear" doesn't really do anything if its not the correct ones, you can upgrade any weapons or armor to legendary+ so them being legendary from the get-go doesn't really mean much and doesn't make them better then other weapons and armor that can be upgraded just the same.
And complaining that the game is hard on the highest difficulty in the game is pretty laughable honestly, I'm sure you will hate the super bosses then or playing with Magran's Curses on (Let alone all of them)
I've not had any problems with any of the DLC with my custom party on PotD when I was playing this game back in the day, I stopped a long time ago though because of the memory leaks and overall lag after just a few hours of gameplay, I hate restarting my game when I'm in the "groove" just breaks it for me.
Also enemies having skulls or not doesn't really matter, what matters is the enemy itself, a regular kobold with triple red skull isn't all that dangerous, but if its a boss or main guy, then yeah you're in trouble.
Just sayin' maybe knock it off with the hubris and we could teach you properly, I refuse to teach people that cannot see that they're just outmatched, No offense meant whatsoever.
Have a nice day.
Is the entire post story even true?
First you claimed you play on the highest difficulty, now you call the highest difficulty
" hardcore mode than cant be turned on /off"
Pick a story and stick to it. You are contradicting yourself.
And you still havent mentioned your own class or specifics regarding your builds and gear in order for people to help you. You just keep going on and on about the game's difficulty claiming you had no issues whatsoever and thats it. No further details in all your replies.
This smells like a troll / complain post.
Cant help those that dont want to be helped . Cheers
And no, i wont be naming equipement of all my characters (most of them have same stats anyway, except for some petty bonuses and no, i am not using heavy armor on my mages or crossbow on my melee tank)... it is obvious that DLCs difficulty work different way cuz i never had any problem with PoE2 difficulty but now, after 50 hours, i suddenly have? With all 3 DLCs?
Case closed I guess?
