Then he/she adds a part of the points from the party. This works as follows :
Total of party ---------- "Party assist"
skill points : --------- bonus for the MC :
1 ---------------------------> +1
2 - 3 -----------------------> +2
4 - 6 -----------------------> +3
7 - 10 ---------------------> +4
11 - 15 --------------------> +5
16 - 21 --------------------> +6
22+ ------------------------> +7
You can see that you need to spend only 1 point to reach the +1 bonus, and then it's "exponential" : 1 more point to reach the +2 bonus, then 2 more points for the +3, 3 more points for the +4, 4 more points for the +5 ...

Counts only the companion with the higher value?
Right now i have a test with +6 from party and they have: 2 - 14 - 2 - 2
Shouldnt it be +11?
From 16-21 you get a +6 bonus. Seems like it matches perfectly.
It is useless to spend "only" 20 points on the party for any specific skill. You should either spend 16 points, to obtain the +6 bonus, or at least 22 points to obtain the +7 bonus.
No. It should be +6. Read the post again
