[Spoilers] Not sure what to do next with Eder's quest

So for Eder's companion quest, The Lighted Path, I'm at the stage where I have to find a "vanguard ship" that is docked in Neketaka before it leaves. But I'm unable to find the ship anywhere in the docks on the island. Is there a location where the vanguard ship (where Elafa's son was going to) is located? Or have I missed it?

It's on the docks, close to your ship. But when you get there, you get a dialogue telling you they already left and you need to take your ship and go after them.

Alright, thank. Do you know where the ship is going, or will I just have to get lucky and hope I run acorss the ship on my way to Eothas' location?

It is going to Eothas location.

Hm, that's odd. I've arrived at Ashen Maw but have yet to come across any ships that didn't attack me, lol.

It is possible it outruns you to Magran's teeth, in which case you will fail the quest.

Umm I think its beside Ashen Maw (the left side for me), look at your Map and highlight the dots and see the ship name. You SHOULD ATTACK IT not the other way around... took me awhile to catch up

For me I got to Ashen Maw way before them and had to backtrack to find them. Seems like they go straight north of Nehekata and once they hit Magran's Teeth, they go along it to the east.

I see the ship (it was east of Ashen Maw, but wasn't moving), but I couldn't attack it at all. I even moved my ship right on top of it but nothing happened...the quest is still in my journal with no changes.

I see the ship (it was east of Ashen Maw, but wasn't moving), but I couldn't attack it at all. I even moved my ship right on top of it but nothing happened...the quest is still in my journal with no changes.

That's strange. It should definitely be moving.

edit: are you sure it's the right one?
