how to Add abilities as console commands
addAbility Player_(your name) (skill name)

without bracket

use this web site for skill names
https://pillarsofeternity2.wiki.fextralife.com/Abilities

only checked with abilities that have one word in them (ie. escape)

Multiple words abilities (ie. Vicious_companion)

I have the game on gog, so it might be different

How does one make it work with composite player names (eg. Mark Luttenbery)?

Never tested it, sorry

but I would presume "addAbility Player_Mark_Luttenbery (skill name)

For the sake of any future visitors to this particular question the way to input names such as Mark Luttenbery and so forth is as follows.
AddAbility "Player_Mark Luttenbery" (skill name)
When using names, underscores will not work in such and must be used with quotations to fit the parameters of the command, skill names work as standard. Keep in mind when done correctly it will not give you a message to say so and will be added with no error message displayed. I would also recommend if you add an upgrade of an ability with this method to remove the previous version as it will not do so automatically.
