Now they just add nudity to make nerds feel cool and, seperately, make being straight a minority thing.
The same people yelling about tolerance are anything but tolerant.
I don't care about the romance, but it's another case of let's promote the lifestyle and issues we agree are relevant as developers and paint the world accordingly. Let's cater to the hate on straight people, religion and anything else not taught in liberal academia.
I feel so modern, mature and cool playing this game.
Anyways, I would have preferred it if they went the DAI route instead of DA2, some characters gay, some straight, some bi. But romance is such a small and optional thing in this game and always has been in Obsidian games so I'n not especially bothered by it.
The option should be available to them based on their real life sexual orientation, whatever it may be.
There is no "hate" on straight people, as you can have heterosexual relationships in the game too. There are only options.
Some of you sure seem to love making mountains out of molehills.
TBH though i dislike games that push a romance/sexual encounter on you, a lot of times i'm just enjoying the immersion of the fantasy world and while i'm thinking about the next step in a quest a character hits you up with a romance topic and just kills the mood.
I dont mind romance being in the game but it should be clear and pursued by the player not auto instigated by npc's
Yes but based on real life not everyone is bisexual like it seems in this game. You either set a sign outside your ship advertising "bisexuals only" or the world population in PoE2 100% consists of bisexuals.
But all the people are random people from different backgrounds. It's not a question about only seeking out bisexual people since there are so many. It's not just the companions that are bisexual the 30+ crew members you can higher from inns are bisexual too. Heck even some of the quest givers pull a move on you too. Sometimes you sail long enough and one of them knocks on your door below deck and asks to have sex. The Hugh concentration of bisexuals is a little unbelievable which leads me to believe maybe that whole planet is bisexual.
Regardless, Obisidian has to provide the option with every character to cater to homosexual/bisexual clients.
Also consider heterosexual players that play the opposite sex in the game. For example, a male player who plays with a female character (for whatever reason). Perhaps he will not want to have a relationship with a male character in game (just like real life) so will want his character to be a lesbian.
In order to cover all possiblities for their clients, obsidian has to provide ALL the options. It is a practical necessity.
If you don't wish to pusue a relationship with a character in game, you can turn them down. Just like in real life.
It's not just the main characters, it's also the 30+ crew members who you can recruit. All bisexual. There are events during sailing where they will knock on your door below deck and ask to have sex. I genuinely think that whole planet is bisexual.
I've literally never had that, I doubt it.
You're missing the point. The option must be there for any clients that ARE homosexual.
It is just practical necessity to cover all the desires of their clients.
This is probably why they didn't do it in the first game. Some people would become disgruntled for no real reason over a tiny feature has no effect on gameplay.
