Drawing filter for custom portraits

There is none. Just a bunch of pre-edited images. You can switch them manually at ...\PillarsOfEternityII_Data\gui\portraits

If you are talking about the two sets of images, colored and the paper-like one for conversations, they are separate images.

I will be making a video tutorial on how to do this for various types of images, because the steps differ for different art styles.

If I cared to try and match their art, I'd probably start with a bit of sepia toning and then try to thicken the line-art from the starting art. Then maybe finish it off with a layer of parchment texturing with very low opacity to add just a bit of that old paper effect.

Sorry for the necro but I used to watch a yt gimp tutorial that was 10 times better than the others, was it yours? And if it was could you reupload it, I need it for another playthrough but forgot how to make the portrait.

I just googled some online photo editors and applied oil painting + sletch effects which came very close the generic ones in the PoE folder. Took about 10 minutes. Ofcourse, if you want exactly the same effects, you need photoshop. Now trying to download wwise and converting my audio was a whoooole different misery...
