Report a translation problem
The actual VA talent they have onboard are all professionals and have more credits to their names then you could imagine, but yeah some of the direction and pacing here is just awful.
Ashley Johnson for instance is normally amazing in whatever she's in, her performance *made* The Last of Us and is an accomplished onscreen performer in TV/Movies - however as the narrator here she is terrible. She's so slow and has weird pauses all over the place which makes it a pain to sit through and awkward to try and ignore to read ahead.
I actually went to the game folder and removed the narrator folder so that she doesn't talk in those sequences.
Or half a scene voice acted and the other half not like FF 14 online :S
IS TERRIBLE!
Especially considering the voice actors are speaking , in part , a fictional language
I have also shown it to random people who do not play the game, none of them thought it sounded weird or bad at all.
Those "pauses" you talk about are from commas. You know, it's a thing called punctuation. And the slowness is to add ambience.. would you rather she talk like a robot?
