Druid shapeshifter weapon profiecency
I'm confused as there is no unarmed weapon profiecency?

i assume a shapeshifting druid would want unarmed?

You want 2 weapon proficiency. Weapon type doesn't matter as the form itself is a mode.

at the start you jsut get a choice from lots of weapons , no unarmed , no one handed or two handed weapon style , just choose 2 weapon proficencies in character creation

And they are all weapons i will obviously never use.

Weapon proficiency only gives you the special modal ability for the weapon type. There are no other bonuses (unless you get them from passives).

And every class starts with unarmed ability by default. Also, I don't think it applies to shapeshifted form anyway, that's its own thing.

All characters already start with unarmed proficiency.

EDIT: Ninjad :P

Weapon proficiencies only work for Druids outside of forms, when actually hitting with a weapon.

In PoE one shapeshift ounted as unarmed. Is that still the same in this one?

No.

Spiritshifts are their own separate thing. I don't even know if two weapon fighting affects them.

You can check your bonuses by hitting the character tab in combat. No weapon proficiencies or style bonuses count when shifted. Only buffs.Which makes shifting weak late game. The powers should get better with level, but I think only things that boost power levels help.

If you check out Fury (Storm shapeshift) you actually have 'weapons' from the shift. Tried an idea with a monk, hoping it could use unarmed, but nope. Didn't check the other shifts, figured it would be the same.
