constant freezing (SOLVED)

Anyone else getting constant freezing? know any fix? I can barely make a character, i actually havent been able to from the freezes. the sound goes on, just video freezes.

SOLUTION (for me anyway): put this b*tch in windows 8 compatability mode and wallah.

Same specs as my PC. I am not having any issues however. Try verifying the files.

Try to disable telemetry

From my own experiments with the game, I noticed that the game freezes whenever it / the game window / process loses priority. No matter for what reason(Alt+Tab'ing between "windows", a antivirus patch notification, error popup message or a download complete prompt).

Try to see if it's the same "effect" you are experiencing and whether you'll be able to fix your problem like that:
I- Start the game
II- when in the main menu ALT+CRT+DEL end open "Task Manager"
III-open PofE 2 by clicking on the taskbar process or Alt+Tab to it
IV- the game should open with sound but be suspended / freezen
V- slowly Alt+Tab rhythmically but not too often until you get back to the PofE 2 process

If it works, try to use the same method the next time the game hangs / freezes, remember to check what is opening in the background end freezeng the game to prevent the problem from recurring. Assuming that this is the source of your problem.

Of course, turning off the full screen and playing windowed could also help.

6 years later and this still fixes the problem on lower end hardware.
