went to the ruins there and a giant door with combination to it and I've spent several minutes there trying to unlock the door but it just seems like no matter how many combinations I try I keep getting putting in the wrong order and I could use some help with it

If you're talking The Shadow Under Neketaka, it's:

Fish > Moon > Rain > Moon > Hands

The phrase that the guildmaster gives you has five lines, one line per input. The fact that it only has 4 options but is 5 long really screwed with me for a while.

yes that's the one thank you, I spent like I want to say 30 minutes messing around with it lol

classic case of Obsidian innjecting humour into the game. My theory is that POE1 was not funny enough. Lords knows, many people complained about that fact, so they amped up the hilarity from the very prologue and followed through the whole game. There must have even been a 'Hilarity' department because the quality is unmatched!! I guess they also did a few practical jokes a round the office too to keep things lively when the rest of the devs were getting a bit grumpy.
