Marux Amanth doesn't level up

Hello,

I bound marux amanth to xoti but can't get it to stack burn damage for level 1. Shining beacon, cleansing flame, fan of flames scrolls or immolator bombs don't do anything.

I tried rebinding, switching weapon slots, but it stays stuck at 0.

What can I do ?

For some reason it doesn't register fire damage from AoE spells. You need either a single target spell (like Sunlance) or to make damage with its own passive.

then cleansing flames is not considered a single target spell because it can jump to other enemies ?

in case anyone has the same issue as me, you need to unequip the dagger, save, quit entirely the game, restart it, reequip the dagger and it should work
i managd to get through the first level with one storm of holy fire; cleansing flames still didn't work though
