It is very high though, especially for Ascendant as it increases by 10 every odd level and 15 every even level(according to wiki), so around level 6 the max is already about 100.
That is why I am personally not a fan of the Ascendant. While you are working to reach max focus, you have a -1 powerlevel and soul whip deals less damage. After the Ascended effect fades, your Focus is reduced to 0 and you have to build it up again.
Obviously, while ascended you are really powerful.
so there's no way of knowing what that number is then..? does the character let you know in some way? like Grieving Mother used to say "My mind feels sharp as steel" in 1 to let you know she had focus built up.
When you're at max the number of focus should change to another colour. I can't remember the colour off the top of my head, but it's green I think
"Focus (X/Y)". X is, again, you current focus. Y is your maximum.
I have no idea why none of the poster above simply explained you that btw.
