Max Focus
so i made my main character Ascendant and there's a lot about "Max Focus" in the description. but i can't seem to see what my character max focus is anywhere. i think it should be possible to know, since Ascendant gets a bonus when at max, i kind of have to know :p
anyone know this?

In the bottom left corner of your cipher's portrait there is a purple icon with a number that shows your current focus. If you point your cursor over the icon, you'll see a tooltip showing something like
"Focus (X/Y)". X is, again, you current focus. Y is your maximum.

I have no idea why none of the poster above simply explained you that btw.

Your max focus is the highest you can have at any point in time. It is based on your level and you will know it when you reach it. ;)
It is very high though, especially for Ascendant as it increases by 10 every odd level and 15 every even level(according to wiki), so around level 6 the max is already about 100.

That is why I am personally not a fan of the Ascendant. While you are working to reach max focus, you have a -1 powerlevel and soul whip deals less damage. After the Ascended effect fades, your Focus is reduced to 0 and you have to build it up again.
Obviously, while ascended you are really powerful.

yeah, but meanwhile you can have fun with other things like guns and bows, you know? ;)

so there's no way of knowing what that number is then..? does the character let you know in some way? like Grieving Mother used to say "My mind feels sharp as steel" in 1 to let you know she had focus built up.

When you're at max the number of focus should change to another colour. I can't remember the colour off the top of my head, but it's green I think

I should add that Ascendant with a Draining Whip upgrade generates Focus super fast.
