What are these icons next to the quest?

I've accepted this quest "The shadow under Neketaka" and it's the first time I see these icons next to a quest. What do they mean?

Can you hover over them with the mouse? I don't think I've ever seen those icons since I've been playing this game . The blue one might be that it's just a new quest added but the other symbol looks like an eothas symbol or something which doesn't make sense given the context of that quest.

I know right. Hovering over them does nothing. And haven't seen any new quest with that ! mark on them.
May it have something to do with the main story? I'm about to reach Magran's Maw to speak with Eothas, but before that I've asked the Queen for help with the voyage to Magran's Maw. She instead told me she couldn't spare any help in the state Neketaka was, that I'd have to help her first to secure the city.

Nah that quest has nothing to do with the main story unless you were to side with huana, but even then that quest is doable without even being on good terms with the huana.

The actual main quest is just the eothas quests .

Do you have any mods at all?

The Three-Star icon is the Trial of Eothas marker - a main quest which should be completed before the certain date (Shadow under Neketaka is technically a faction quest, so the game may consider it a main-story...), The exclamation icon is the "you haven't read this one yet" marker I think.

I haven't reached that part where there's "certain date" I must wait for.. Not looking to know what you're talking about, though I could guess.

Then it's a bug for sure. Trials of gods are activated only when you start a new game. If you have the Trial of Eothas active, there should be a timer with the same icon (just bigger) in the top-right corner of your wold map. For example, you have only 5 days to leave Maje Island or it's a game over.
