Why do SO many hits constantly graze/miss?
Finding this incredibly irritating. Had a barbarian dual class and 75% of my attacks were missing or grazing and doing 2 damage. It bothered me so much I decided to start over and now Im using a ranger with 15 perception and Im STILL missing and grazing at least half of the attacks I do.

Even when using the ranger skill that increases your accuracy against a target, the amount of misses and grazes is unreasonable.

What is the deal with this? Is there any way to deal with this crap?

Raise your accuracy with buffs and better equipment. At higher levels rangers have it so high that they almost always crit, and other characters don't suffer from accuracy problems as well. If you are playing on Path of the Damned, expect to fight higher-level enemies who just have too high defensive stats to reliably hit for now.

Defenses are pretty high as you go on. There's more of a reliance on hit-to-crit and miss-to-graze etc in my opinion. I have played the entirety of the game sans the megabosses on turn based mode and I really felt like I grazed far too often, even on a max PER character. Then again, your standard attack roll is a 1-100, so even with a high bonus you can still roll a 2.

You need better armor penetration.

i got dual Morgenstern/mace paladin and he hits 120-200 damage per hit if target have armor 12-14

It's fun isn't it?

If you don't have 21 perception on every character, and a priest and wizard to lower enemy defenses and tons of buffs, you will miss, a lot and it only gets worse the higher level enemies you fight.

So yeah, enjoy that.

The fights aren't harder, they just take 30x longer on potd than they do on normal and veteran. Because some genius thought that inflating enemy stats = fun and interesting gameplay.

I wish there was a mode that had potd enemy variety and enemy placement with normalized stats across the board.

So it isn't a tedious slog.

If you are worried about misses and inflated stats in this game than you should try Pathfinder - now this is rngfest. Combat system in deadfire is almost perfect to me.

Pathfinder provides many more options to fine-tune and min-max your character stats. I play on the second to last difficulty, and all it takes to 100% hit is to apply related buffs before starting a combat.

There are less options to increase accuracy in PoE2, although I still think that accuracy is not an issue unless you're fighting megabosses that require you to analyse their defenses and choose relevant debuffs for a successful approach.

IDK if it gets better later on I just had to drop the game after a couple of hours out of sheer disgust.

Yeah constant reloading was annoying as ♥♥♥♥, especially with the kingmaker mode.
I have started a turn based playthrough in poe2 lately and lots of people seem to have problems with the megabosses. Could anyone explain please whats wrong with them? Havent played the dlc yet, so dunno whats up with hose guys :D

They are damage sponges with 3 red skulls on lvl20 and some nasty defenses. The good news is that they are completely optional.

Hah, good to hear Im not going crazy here. Its beyond frustrating, especially when you get miss/graze 10 times in a row at a critical moment and it causes you to lose a character or even the battle.

I used console commands to set everyones perception to a whopping 25. And Im still missing an obscene amount of hits. Thinking of setting it to 50 just to be done with this irritation, but Im guessing itll break the difficulty.

The bigger the boss is .The easier it should be to hit them . For some reason these games think its a good idea to let you miss alot against bosses. Could just simply give them more armor for damage reduction or something and thats it.

Its clearly not fun at all.
