Worth it to steal a baby?

Been a while since I played this (I have it through GoG), but I was wondering if Vela ever got any dialogue with the main character, as that seemed to be a huge complaint a lot of players had about her. I never kidnapped the Orlan baby in POE1, so I'm wondering if that ever got fixed in a patch or DLC. Is it worth it to steal that baby in my current PoE playthrough?

I love that I can genuinely ask this question without fear of being questioned by police.

Hylea's challenge adds a whole mode, complete with voiceover, where she follows you everywhere and you have protect her, and she has lots of commentary for that, but weirdly they still didn't give her unique dialogue aboard your ship? Last I checked, anyway.

Her only unique dialogue (besides if she travels with you in the hylea challenge) is just banter with your companions and crew when you're on the ship.

But if I recall correctly, it's not a bad thing you're stealing a baby. The family it was with was gonna sacrifice it

You can kill the would-be sacrificer and then his son won't go through with it. Even if you kill everyone iirc you can still turn her over to someone who can actually take care of her, as opposed to dragging her through the final dungeon and god knows where else.

Keeping her is funnier, though. And the way Deadfire retcons it it's more like you adopted her and raised her at Caed Nua rather than carrying her around in your inventory all the time.
