Spindle man and Ernezzo

Spoilers for anyone not this far yet........



I have acquired the medicine for drowners lung. I didn't kill either of the merchants. Now, I normally don't meta game and just role play which ever I find that my character would do, but I am just curious. I find the spindle man interesting and not necessarily evil. I find Ernezzo not evil either just slimey (like most down in delvers row).

Is there a benefit to killing their competition? Can I keep them both alive and keep purchasing from both? What have you done?

Leaning towards taking out Ernezzo just because he doesn't like Spindle Mans mind reading ability.

I may be wrong, but killing one side gives the discount for aonther. But yeah, you should be able to leave 'em both alive as vendors.

Interesting. That is what I thought but wasn't sure. What did you do? I may reap both vendors for a little.

I personally leave them alone. Both for roleplay and meta reason.

On the one hand Ernezzo is a little too comfortable with asking you to murder his competition. On the other hand the Spindle Man does have that ogre and elf in there with him, and I'm not sure how voluntary their service with him is. But at least on my first run, playing a live-and-let-live diplomatic sort of character, I didn't feel comfortable doing either of their dirty work.

That's where I am kinda at right now. I just met the slime ball Ernezzo and hes like murder him. I haven't even met him or have proof he's bad other than, he's just his competitor in the area. I like spindle man a more but not enough to kill Ernezzo at least not right now.
