How many have you bought the Spyglass? For those who have did you get buyers remorse or was it worth it? it's like $5000, so I'd like to get some feedback. I have a feeling it's necessary for the sea travel portion. Thanks!

I remember a couple of text encounters where it was handy, although I'm not sure the outcome would be much different without it. Most of the time you just get some flavor text from using it. Money is definitely not a problem in this game, so buy whatever you want

good evening, honestly? just buy it later when you get a bit of spending money(cash becomes easier to get bit by bit) otherwise, try to steal/find one if you can.

It unlocks some dialogue choices in events when sailing (plagued ship comes to mind, you can use spyglass to check whether there's anyone alive in it) and in several island encounters (i.e. Raoa o Hara in Neketaka island, in which you can use your spyglass to scout the enemy before the encounter).

Generally it's not that important, but it's good to have nonetheless.

I found it was convenient for clearing the fog of. . .fog. And its cheap.

You can steal one from Fleet Master Okaya in Sayuka. Needed fairly high stealth though.
