Your only other hope is to increase defenses, to suppress afflictions or to use items that give Resistance to Intellect afflictions, at least. Consume Svef as a last resort. If you find the recipe for Entrancing Dance, bring it to Drowsy Puke, and then you can rest at his place and gain resistance to Intellect afflictions.
Also try blinding them (wizard's Chill Fog tends to eventually blind even the most resistant enemies due to the sheer number of its damage ticks).
An Intellect Inspiration (buff) will make you immune to Confused, Charmed and Dominated for the duration. So an ability that offers Smart, Acute or Brilliant, for its duration, should protect the buffed allies. The most obvious source is from spells (mainly Priests).
Nuance : if the buff or passive is called a Resistance as such, the negative affliction is reduced by one step. So Confused is cancelled, Charmed becomes Confused, and Dominated becomes Charmed.
I wish it was much much clearer in-game, no matter what fans will say. I love Pillars of Eternity, but that system is not clear in-game and required me searching and reading a lot on the Internet.

Damn it.
