I told him to take it easy, things happen, we cant control everything and in the ending slide he stops chasing the Leaden Key -cause whatever will be will be- and stays with my happy-go-lucky Watcher.
Before the Eothas kiss, ask him what you should do. If he says "Doesnt really matter, relax Watcher!" he's on the path to stay with you. (Pat on the back I finally corrupted by buddy)
Actually, your ending is nice too tbh. Its "apart for now" so... its kinda sweet.
I did in fact tell him exactly that because it felt (and still fells) right. It's even mentioned in the ending sequence:
But if there’s one thing he’s learned from the Watcher, it’s that a single person can change the world.
I have to admit, I felt sad for both of them since they parted ways.
At first, at least. The ending is indeed kinda fitting (and yes, kinda sweet too, you are right). But since I'm a hopeless romantic, it still stings, but well ...
...
I also like the ending you had. Both options show that we are able to inspire those close to us. I will think through it and try to figure out which way of character development I like more for Aloth.
Both endings have their good points :)
Edit: Character development wise I think what you got is best for Aloth.
I don't believe in "best" things for people, real or fictional.
It's all about what we pref :')
It is. Also, they will meet again <3
