Relationship Values with Companions not rising?

I've been getting notifications of a change in approval with companions, but when I go to the character sheet every status does show the event occured but the actual stat is still at a 0, any help?

I can't offer any help, I didn't love or even like the companion reputation system. Suddenly Aloth and Pallegina don't even like me in Pillars 2 after kissing the ground I stand on in Pillars 1, At least we still have Edar, he'll never let us down.

Keep an eye on the conversation panel on the right side of the rep screen. Mouse over each companion to see what conversation choices they liked or disliked. 1-3 blue arrows for like, and 1-3 red arrows for dislike. I found that I didn't get notifications for all of the ups & downs. You can gauge where you're at form that, but I don't know how many positive arrows it takes to get the number raised.

It all depends upon how you respond to conversations or encounters, not all companions like the same thing. I found Aloth to be the most difficult, he was down to a -2 at one point, but I finally got him up to a +2.
