Which predefined history allows me to get it? It's important because of a build I am doing, and before due to a glitch the item wasn't obtainable.
Can I take the Benevolent choice and get the sword or not?
If you do so then once you obtain your ship (right after the first meeting with the gods) you should find 2 fragments (not one) in your Captain's quarters.
Bring the two fragments to the metalworker vendor in Nekata (the zone where Arkemyr's mansion is). Talk with him and say that you want to reforge the sword.
There are 3 options now.
You may either pay 1500 gold (each) and reforge two swords. One being a regular 1h sword with +damage to spirits. The other being a 2h Estoc with high penetration and cooldown reduction...
Or you may ask him to combine both fragments into a 2h Greatsword for 3000 gold.
If you do so you get a greatsword with increased reach and has a cone aoe with each attack. But the damage of the greatsword is less than the damage of a regular greatsword with the same tier (fine, exceptional, superb) etc.
I pick the former option because I play with a rogue/mage spellcaster as main and 2h Estoc with 12 base penetration was a tremendous sneak attack weapon that one shots almost everything not resistant to pierce damage.
But for a frontline dps paladin, barbarian or figther the 2h greatsword is still a good option.
OK so you're saying the Benevolent pre-defined setting allows you to have both fragments?
I don't have a save import, and I don't remember some of the core choices from the original because it's been so long since I played it. I also never played White March DLC, so when I do custom histories I don't like making choices because I have no idea what they are or the impact they have on the game.
