im enjoying the hell out of SSS and dont find myselff wanting for a higher level cap
it would however, be interesting to see new abilities added to the game while keeping the current level cap like they just did with ranger(or how they added new wizard spells for backers with new unique grimoires)
If your addicted to just lvling up go play an mmo
tbh whats more important than more lvls is xp distribution rebalance. You get way to much xp to fast with the amount of content in the game, it should be slowed down so you take more time getting to be really powerful. Right now you get powerful to quick. By increasing lvl cap your just be even more powerful to fast, and the game a be even easier than it already is.
So, they should make lvling slower. I mean someone playing *story mode should be able to complete the story by reaching a lower lvl, but if you want to do PoTD means sidequests should be mandatory.
A lot of fans are completionists. I remember when going back through Pillars 1 with expansions, there was not that much sense of accomplishment in doing Twin Elms sidequests.
And that's what games aim most of the times, a sense of accomplishment.
Both a higher lvl cap and a slower xp distribution do not need to be mutually exclusive, don't fight guys...
This!
Without leveling up the characters I could play Lara Croft or the like.
Really:
Everytime the same nonsense. Players trying to justify design-decision which are running exactly against all features a good single-player-RPG MUST have
If you balance xp for one it will help fix difficutly on potd, and it will mean your uber powerful only towards the end of the game as a good crpg should. You really shouldnt be god like half way though a game , it defeats the purpse of end game. That awsome dragon fight now becomes a joke, adding more levels just adds to this issue.
course they do have to worry about balance, just cause its a single player game it doesnt mean they want us to breeze through content by being uber powerful, which is why a lot of patches were dedicated to making the gamer harder to compensate for us already being too powerful
game is already too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ easy as it is with the level capped at 20. im at potd with a 2 man party and i can breeze through anything. im actually glad they kept the level cap at 20.
honestly git gut scrub
a hafway decent gamer can wreck the game with a level 20 party.
it's not the game's fault if you are struggling with a level 20 party. its you!
so rather than complain to have the level cap increase, why dont you improve yourself?
