a matter of import quest

Can't progress, I go to talk to the fleet master and she just says something along the lines of flee or fight just get out of my way and that's it, anyone know a fix?

you have to do the sequence of quests in an optimal way otherwise you will run into a lot of bugs. There is a steam guide on here which tells you the optimal pathing to do the quests in.

my 3 autosaves are literally into workshop, back into Sayuka, then into fleet master office. The only other save is a manual one from....8 hours ago...

Are you sure you killed all the enemies in Sayuka?

you mean the 4 druids? yes they are dead. I reported to the workshop, she gave me the scuba gear but not the quest and now a matter of import won't finish.

Well at least next time you can look upto the guide and see in what order you should tackle quests in to prevent stuff like this from happening again :)

It has never happened to me and I didn't follow any guide, it's probably rare and you haven't been lucky (well it could have been caused by the last update too)

If you just read the forums lol. Many threads were made before this and it was just like this. People's quests were bugging out ie. with Mad Morena, Undercroft, The Painted Masks. All because they didn't do the quests in the right order.

Also don't clear out Crookspur unless you have received a quest to do that.

You know how in this discussion forums you can see many threads? Just look up and then you should be able to see "discussion forums" colored in then just to the right you should see "guides" then click that.

Obsidian is really good at patching so it should be patched. You'll just have to wait though. Also did you find the guide or do you want me to link it?

I did find one, not sure if it's the same but https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1386355414 it's a bit late for me to be following it though, with the entire Royal Deadfire Company quest line now cut off, they were the ones I was building all my rep with, so it's kind of a really big bummer, and I'm also lvl 16 and with no New Game + I'm not all that sure what to do but wait for them to fix it. Hope I won't have forgotten the whole storyline by the time they do. Currently have 33 berath blessing points so I might just try to squeeze a few achievements out and then restart for the new expansion in end of july.

Yeah, it's that guide right there! And yeah that's what I'm doing too. After 1 playthrough, just wait for all the expansions to drop and play the game again. That way you'll have the most comprehensive bug free version of the game.
