Subclass doesn't really matter. I'd combine Troubador for extra chant linger and probably the Ranger with the spirit pet so I didn't have to see the pet all the time.
But Ranger/Rogue would be fine too. Any class that has moves that are 'full attacks' will work great since it will fire both guns.
The double pistol wielder I have in my group is a Troubador/Darcozzi Paladin. But she's more of a cheerleader build focusing on group support buffs who also fires pistols.
edit: also be sure and do the scavenger hunt thing pinned to the top of the forum. The Cutthroat Cosmo pet you get from that is great for gun users.
Very! Just dont forget to turn on the blunderbuss modal. I've soloed with it on potd with level scaling mod. But the problem is the last boss. You won't have enough pen to deal damage... I had to hire 1 other adventurer and specced them to have 20 arcana just so I can nearly one shot the last boss with meteror scroll.
Closest would be Frostseeker which is a 2 handed warbow that has reallly good pen that fires 3 projectiles per shot over the Blunderbuss's 4
monk/rogue
monk/barbarian
monk/fighter
pick one
monk is ideal due to the swift flurry damage loop(every crit with a weapon has a 33% chance to cause a new damage isntace that can crit and also has a 33% chance to trigger a new isntance of dmg that can loop infinitely)
ranger is good for accuracy bonuses(mark prey+accurate wounding shot)+faster reloads+projectile bounce
rogue can apply many afflictions and do tons of dmg via sneak attack/deathblows
barbarian can attack faster and barbaric blow has great hit-to-crit conversion
fighter is just a good all-rounder
all 4 above have full attack abilities to shoot both guns at once
another option is monk/cipher for more versatility, you could use the paralyze invocations to get crits(paralyzed targets have 50% of incoming hits converted to crits) but chanters dont have a full attack ability

Biggest weakness of the blunderbuss is the abysmal penatration, devoted helps alleviate some of that while the assassin provides great damage and utility with its debuffs.
Devoted /rogue could be great too
Right now
Im enjoying a lot my current Monk/Druid is some kind of badass battlemage
PLus you can use the monk abilities while transformed
