Aloth Reputation

I'm having a hard time getting his rep to go anywhere at all, and I read somewhere that he was bugged. My own rep inclinations as a Goldpact knight are stoic and rational so it shouldn't conflict but he's just stick at 0 and serafen, xolti and eder are at 2 or close to it. Any advice on how to increase it?

He typically likes "dutiful" responses (so dialogue options that say something along the lines of "I'm doing this to save lives/protect people" kinda thing). Also, there's a quest in Dunnage where if you do the quest for the actors in the Radiant Court and offer to pay off the debts of that one lady in the tavern, then close out of the dialogue, and keep spamming that option, then you should be able to boost his rep pretty quickly.

Ah I see fellow gamer with similar problems.
Sadly trick with repeating payment of quest in Dunnage was fixed in latest patch so it's impossible to trick Aloth into getting 2 reputation.
Yes last patch fixed that option - I was there and tried spamming. Now it's not working anymore :/

Since Aloth likes duties maybe faction missions would help - that is my best guess at least.
At least I hope so ! I have him on 1 for quite a while, and game puts me under wall to pick faction - I really want to get him to 2 reputation before end !
Ah and keep away Xoti and Takehu from Aloth, especially the second one lol.
Aloth "likes" Takehu so much that he basically from first talk gained -1 with that guy.
Seriously though, Xoti on my game was majority of time responsible that I could gain negatives from Aloth - don't ask me how.
I didn't supported traditions I was using diplomacy. What basically makes me to can't stand her even more since she was source of my problems with Aloth earlier by her stupid personal quest.

That being said I have more problems with this due to fact that absolutely NONE faction in Deadfire convinces me in the slightest. I start to miss Tyranny's Court ... and not only because neither of leaders OR GODS is worth 1% of respect I owned to Adjudicator, but I miss especially in-game Bleden Mark's option to just 'screw all of you, I am going to do my own path - with blackjack and hookers'.

Xoti, Eder and Serafen are at 2 ? Eh but all those three like not taking ♥♥♥♥ seriously at all ! Are you sure you are stoic and dutiful ? Lol.
Not to mention similar to Takehu, Serafen is another guy with opposite appeal to Aloth due to Serafen not caring at all for responsibilities.
I have Xoti and Serafen at 1 still, and that is because I refused to used majority of time silly responses what actually lead to Aloth finally giving me speech check for 1 of his.
I think the wisest thing is to split teams and act ... well two sided.
Take Aloth, Maia and Pallegina together and act all "Yes sir, it's my duty" "I take my responsibilities seriously !" and so on.
And the next team pick Takehu, Xoti and Serafen and be basically like "Oh yes, sure you are 'pleasant' company ! For a ♥♥♥♥♥ that is" and such others silly/unresponsible options.
Eder is just ... Eder it's impossible to have him on -Rep .. unless you are edgelord which needs blood of all animals to feed it's inner God of Edge.

Just because Aloth gets irked by something Xoti says does not mean that YOUR rep with him suffers, he just gains negative rep toward Xoti. Same with Tekehu. In fact, bringing Tekehu along to disagree with him when he's being irresponsible is a great way to boost your rep with Aloth.

I did manage that for a fraction of a second by stealing that Eothasian lockbox early on. Though it went back to 0 and to +1 even before I got out of Port Maje.

HA ! If that was so simple. I tried majority of time to just somehow manuver with Xoti's questions to act at diplomacy, but it lead to Aloth actually believing that SOMEHOW I support 'traditionalism'.
He literally had -1 speech check after I questionated Xoti on her loyalty to her blind obidience.
Try to explain to me how the hell anti-blind servitude to traditions speech can be supportive of said traditions. And that was his accusation there.
Lol if I want I could bring Takehu and Xoti and just smack them all around the place for unresponsibility, pride and naivete.

In fact kicking out Xoti completely from current team worked wonders regarding getting Aloth reputation. Proof being my game, that's quite telling to me at least.

Like I said - Eder is just Eder. Unless you go through Archipelago to feed your inner God of Edge by slaughtering all animals and drinking their blood he is gonna be okay.
