Giant cave grub.
Is he some sort of megaboss? he's killing my party in nearly 1 hit and summoning grubs every 5 seconds how the heck do you kill it? everything else on that lvl is moderately difficult but he's rediculous.

I have a helpful tip for you

Git gud, scrub.

Better yet... go play in story mode!

Jokes aside, at what level are you trying it on? Because its an open world game so that means you might be still too low level to do it. Also what's your team comp?

He is an easy fight if you don't mind a bit if micro management. Since his melee attack can hit for about 150 he can 1 shot most people. But his action speed is rather slow. So what I did was set my team to have 4 of the 5 using ranged. Anything other then a blunderbuss should work. Your one melee character will engage until you see the grub trying to attack in melee. Icon looks like a star or something. Once you see it coming move out of melee range. The attack will fail, move in and repeat. If you do it right he will never hit your tank nor will he cast his aoe ranged skill. Would still recommend spreading out the ranged guys though just to be safe.

As for the adds. You can bait the first 4 or so out of the room by running In and retreating back out around the corner. You should get the melee grubs at least. May need to go back for the ranged guys as they tend to leash. You break combat with the boss here as well so you don't have to worry about saving spells.

This!! Exactly the same strategy I employed with mine too.

I got a Cipher character and use his level 1 confuse spell on the Giant cave Grub. It will charm it making it harmless for a while, after that manually use your attack button to keep hitting it. Destroy the summoned grubs first before doing that. Try to be at least level 6 or 7.
