Ironclad Constructs HARD - Arkemyr's Manor
I am currently Lvl 7 and making my way through Arkemyr's Manor in Neketaka and holy hell how do you kill these things? I can't find any damage type that is effective, they take so long to take down and I can't keep up with the damage they put out. Am I missing something or is this an area for a much later period in time (the imps are fine, I know I can sneak but where is the fun in that).

1) Crush damage (Mace, Flail, Warhammer, Morning Star, Club, Quarterstaff, certain wizard/priest/druid spells). By then you can already have Aloth, Xoti, and Tekehu.
2) They are not immune to stun or paralyze. You can recruit Konstanten the Chanter upstairs at the Wild Mare tavern in Queen's Berth. He can use Paralyze and Stun skills. Summon Skeletons is also nice as distraction, gives the constructs something else to whack at.
3) Fire Resistance for the AoE fire attack (esp from the stronger Steelclad Construct).
4) Ciphers can blind them. Can use Serafen or go to Sacred Stairs tower and recruit Ydwin (Rogue/Cipher).
5) Remember to go see Fassina next door at the Black Cauldron after completing Arkemyr's Vault quest, to recruit her.

I suggest you look at the steam guide here. There is a guide that tells you the optimal path to do the quests in. That way you will be able to do quests at the level you're supposed to do them in.

Guide suggests lvl 10, rats! Thank you for pointing this out, now I can carry on and not feel totally useless :)

You can just avoid combat, approach it like a stealth mission. I couldn't actually fight the constructs either (between level 5-7 at the time), but managed to just sneak through the manor and complete the mission.

I've fought my way through, I've snuck my way through, and the bad disguise and baldface lie method is by far the simplest.

Just make sure you got some penetration, without this they last forever.

Hello, mini-spoil :
a rogue is your best friend for it, stealth and steal everything you can because this is a trick (no need to kill anyone in the mansion)

Bigger Spoil :
neighbor is your easiest way and sometime upstair is better than downstair

You need to use crush damage. Their pierce and slash Armor rating is in the 20's

buffing your penetration and using whatever dmg type their armor is the lowest against is the way to go

tenacious inspiration gives 2 penetration, many weapon proficiencies add some penetration at the cost of recovery, ciphers get +1 penetration via hammering thoughts and can debuff armor with boddy attunement, chanters can also debuff armor with that tier 1 invocation(the upgrade makes the duration increase with every hit)
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thanks Connie-May, this is also really helpful. I know sneaking is possilble but I just find that so boring. May change around my team and gear and have another attempt at it :)
