yseyr - engoliero sword, bit confused ( spoilers inside )

I pick pocketed this weapon from him

after I pickpocketed his weapon, I still get this dialogue option

I´m playing bad guy basically, all power to myself, so I want everything powerful, but I have this sword and there is that attack option for weapon, is it that sword ? this guy is currently op for me, but I don´t want to wonder of and later forget about that, so if he means that sword, then basically that fight would be useless, right ? thanks for any help

The sword is just a quest item until you use it to summon Rivan the ghost pirate later on, at which point it becomes a useable estoc. If you do kill Yesyr, he drops a pretty sick looking flail with a spiked metal skull on it. The fight is easy unless you're way underlevel for it.

I´m most likely unequipped, because I get a lot of "No Penetration" and spells are not good enough and I still don´t fully understand combat system, but I might come back, if I "gitgut" :D

but it was pretty strange, pickpocketed item like that without problem
