-- From Obs forum Jan 2018 - on will there be SJW integration:
"The content that they were forced to remove was created by a backer, not Obsidian themselves, so we have no reason to distrust their writing. It also doesn't seem like romance is a major thing in Deadfire, so I doubt that characters will need to discuss their sexuality. "
lolololololol
Sorry. They don't discuss anything.
It's more like:
Hey I'm gay/bi/penguin loving - I had sex with X, Y, Z. I want you too, baby. (paraphrase)

You're right moderator, neither do gamers.
(whom also might like a little warm & fuzzy inclusion; nix the hate train m'kay?)

Examples of Combat: I'm old, have bad eyes, bad joints and other parts.
Playing Path of the Damned might be marginally more difficult than making breakfast.

Pros:
-Character Building
-World
-Story games.
This game is for you if you don't mind being treated as having the intellect of a baboon (really not a fair statement for our simian brothers and sisters) or you're a regular reader of Teen Vogue and feel very mistreated by the world.
The game could be Ok with some tweaks and a few rewrites but given the attitude on the forums and past and current actions from Obsidian...I don't see that happening, much.
Otherwise, Obsidian has not stayed true to its original audience or even PoE 1.
FWIW, I haven't played the game for 250 hours. I leave it running when I fall asleep, which is frequently.
On a personal note: I'm a minority in my own right. And like minorities and non-minorities I hang with, I rather just be known as a person and treated/rewarded/etc. for what I do not whom I sleep with or my gender or ethnicity. To me this game is regressive NOT progressive.
100% agree.
Using the word 'infested' in the same sentence as the pejorative use of 'SJW' is not 'overeacting', it's showing you to be a willfully ignorant, hateful piece of trash and incapable of civilized conversation. I strongly suggest deleting the OP.
Perhaps you're new to CRPG games. The world map is based on the world map from games like fallout, arcanum, and NWN2 storm of zehir to give the freedom of exploration instead of traveling through the boring wilderness areas like in Pillars 1. It's not based on some browser game.
I suspect shippers are more responsible for the pansexuality then SJWs.
The women are out of place (it looks like a 50-50 split) but not really portrayed morally as any different from the men. The Principi lady is totally insane for example.
Character building and the actual combat is great though. Story is decent and there's fairly ample opportunities to roleplay. If you're a loot ♥♥♥♥♥ there are tonnes of interesting items to find.
"You shouldn't eat nothing but junk food all the time, it's bad for you."
"Get your SJW ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ outta here!"
-_-
of the npc followers none stand out as intresting and even those carried from the first game feel flatter with Pallegina being relegated to nothing more than a valian cheerleader her conger part from the other faction Maia whose actions and behaviour keep flip flopping between extremes, doting is a clingy child who takes the worst aspects of imoen and the other stock perky rpg followers and cracks them to 11, other than them your options are a completely self obsessed fish man who's character is solely him bragging about awesome being loved by everyone is and how he wants to screw everything and a pirate who's not terrible but who quest thinks asking if he slept with adopted dad s reasonable small talk.
It's worst soulless cashin on the balders gate games but with the bar as low as siege of dragonspire set it that's knot an achievement. If your only here for the gameplay it's worth buying but if you want story, well written characters or diologe above cringy fan fiction than play he classics, buy divinity original sin 2 or get the shadow run games because your not getting that here.
No, you ask him if he was romantically involved with the person hes looking for before you find out the person he is looking for is a father figure. Serafen clears that up later.
If my friend continues asking me to find Bob, and acts weird and evasive about it... it is reasonable to ask my friend "Was Bob an ex of yours?"
If the game's writing is hamfisted, that's one thing. That's what I took away from Siege of Dragonspear. It wasn't bad, it was just lacking in nuance or subtlety. I'd say if you're unsure, watch a couple videos of a let's play. Get a feel for the game and then take it from there. Better to not ultimately waste your time and money if you genuinely think its not gonna be your cuppa tea. :)
