Name plates always on?

am i missing an option somewhere to turn on all npc nameplates without needing to scroll over them? it seems to me i have seen videos already of nameplates being always visable without needing to scroll over them

Go to the controls, there is an option to allocate a button to „interactive objects on/off“. With this option you can turn it on and off (out of combat it displays all relevant objects and names etc - inside a combat it deactivates this thing automatically and changes to showing you all enemy and friendly healthbars with the names).

Default button to highlight everything is Tab, quite helpful.

It doesn't work for every NPC though, it only workrs for those that have a special name.
And I noticed that sometimes, some 'casual' NPC do have dialogues, but usually, you spot them because they have a specific audio dialogue when you approach them.

The name plate feature is like subtle humour, either you get it and have a quiet chuckle, or you are contantly perplexed as to its meaning. Personally i think they overdid the 'humour' features a little too much.
