Respec
Is there a respec function and does it work like in PoE1? Or can you select specific skills/abilities to change instead of all the hustle?

You are reset to how you were at level 1 and can reapply all your levels. That's it. That means you cannot change anything you set during character creation.

You cannot change your attributes.
You cannot change your weapon specializations.
You cannot change the skills/abilities you chose at level 1.

Bascially you can only change what you did at level ups.

This applies to your main character and your companions. You retrain from stores like before, you just can't change much.

don't sure will not go backwards. A respecc at the Inn it was in Pillars 1. respecc on the field would be too imbalanced, could change for every fight, wouldn't like it.

theres a „retrain“ function at the inn. should be similiar to what it was in pillars 1. no respec on the fly.

Yeah propably the same function as it was in POE 1.The only thing i wanna add is that it was discussed in one of their streams to let the players change the attributes of companions as well. They thought it as a good idea.I agree.Ofc this is mild specculation. It is not relevent to the topic ,i know, but hey there you have it all the same :steamhappy:

Bumping this now that the games out.

If i start as a pure fighter, can i respec and pick a subclass part way through the game?
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
