SPOILER Bug with A dance with death quest

Hello everyone,

I am stuck on the main quest right now because Aeldys the pirate leader do not have the line to go futher in the quest.

I mean i have the ghost ship, and my quest diary tell me to go back to the pirate leader in Dunnage city. I did that but, Aeldys just say the same things as before and nothing else.

PS: Maybe it is because of the choices i made, i helped Furrante with the slavers, but then i choose to killed him and his council, maybe the game didnt like this choice ?

Any ideas to fix that guys ?

I got stuck at the same point and couldn't finish the pirates quest line. I didn't help Furrante with anything. You can complete the main quests with your new ship but the pirates will attack you at the end since you're not allied with them

Hello there, same thing here. Stuck with the main quest, sided with Aeldys. I don't know what to do, tried everything. And Kai Heilos, can you please elaborate? How can i still finish the main quest line? What do you mean with my new ship? The Ghost Ship, because if it's that what you meant, it doesn't work, i sail to ukaizo but nothing happens. Can't enter the zone, can't do anything. So yeah i think we have to wait for a fix update. Obsidian please!

Actually i think, somehow the problem is "The Coming Storm" quest, it seems like i did not get this quest and i don't know what. It never appeared in my quest journal. To sail Ukaizo, this quest has to update itself, or i don't know, you have to complete it. I can't, i never had the chance. Anyways, in the end it is a horrible, game breaking bug. Again, please Obsidian, release some fix.

Are you able to switch ships after getting the Floating Hangman? I wanted to switch back to my old ship and I am unable to use the "Set Active Ship" button. I've tried moving my crew and doing it in port but nothing works.

Has anyone managed to complete the quest the OP speaks of ? Just curious as to whether it's an avoidable bug.

@Teromos, i can switch ships after i got the Floating Hangman.

Isn't Furrante the one who gives you the ghost ship quest to begin with ? I guess if you kill him then maybe it defaults to Aeldys, but maybe it bugs then, since the quest did't come from her maybe ?

Might be true but i don't know. I mean when Furrante told me to work with slavers, and sided with Aeldys and killed Furrante in the end. If that is the bug, it should not be so hard to fix it i guess but i suspect the problem is "The Coming Storm" quest. I did not get it and obviously can't complete it. I think you need to complete this quest before going to Ukaizo.

Ahh ok, so you'd suggest making sure to complete the coming storm one before progressing the ghost ship one. Ok so which one is the coming storm quest again ? Is that the one where you have to got to poko hawa or what ever it's called, the island where the storms are coming from, where you have to find out what happened to the vailian expedition ?

No it's the preparation quest, the one you forge your alliance or prepare you ship and then "The City Lost to Time" come, final quest. You sail to Ukaizo, and the cutscene plays and then you're at Ukaizo. For some reason, that did not happen to me. I got the last quest "The City Lost to Time" but i did not get "The Coming Storm" and i am stuck, and i think it has something to do with Principi faction quests. It ♥♥♥♥♥ up your game. Hotfix asap!

Was this ever fixed ? because I see no "honor among thieves" quest nor the "dance with death" quest in my log so I can't proceed.... And I can't speak the words of oath from that sword either...

OP how did you fix it ?

Tested the issue. New patch does not fix anything. The problem is not the quest. Somehow i am not getting "The Coming Storm" quest. The game just skips and jumps forward to "The City Lost to Time". So the problem is there, i can sail to Ukaizo. But can't enter the zone. Game is ruined and still not fixed. I paid for this game and can't finish it. I feel robbed and devs don't give a ♥♥♥♥.

For me I don't even get the "Honor Among Thieves" and "Dance with Death" quests so I can't even get to the point where I can summon the floating hangman.
Seems like Aeldys and Furrante are missing progression lines or something.. dunno.

Factions are just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up deep ♥♥♥♥. It is really messy, sloppy job. I haven't seen anything like this in a long time. I think they don't even know how to fix it. Huana is bugged too. I really don't know what can i say. There is not much to do. Just waiting desperately :/
