Graphics stutter on random game session

I play this on a laptop, i5 + Geforce 750m. Most of the time it runs fine, but sometimes it stutters. Not frame drop, just short pauses that severely disrupts the session I had to restart the game hoping for it to go away. Haven't found the culprit. System load is low, other applications running are Steam client and lightly-loaded browser. Does anybody know anything about this? Anyone experiencing roughly the same problem?
