What auto aim does?
Tested both on and off and doesn't seem to do anything at all, how does it work?

ps: mouse+keyboard.

I remember from back in the old days, when the game was released. A lot of FPS were still played solely on keyboard like Doom and Duke Nukem 3D etc. So back then I had it enabled to shoot enemies that were slightly above my cursor, due to your character adjusting the aim a little bit. But as the FPS games progressed with more people using mouse and keyboard (WASD controls became a standard around Quake I, Quake II and Half Life 1... so mid to late 90s), it kind of became almost useless. Another example of this is if you were to play the classic Half Life 1 with auto aim activated. Chances are, you will miss more of your shots with it enabled than just playing without it... if you are a semi decent modern day gamer.

(And yes I did play the old DOS era FPS games using the arrow keys to move, spacebar to open doors and ;: to strafe... can't do that anymore though, seeing that I've also adapted to more modern times)

TLDR: A left over option from the 90s era, where people still played some of the FPS games solely with keyboard controls and thus pretty obsolete for people using mouse + keyboard/ modern WASD controls.
